AER: Good Day to Dine Jan, 2010

The KAG vessel IKV Melota attended the Lone Star Warrior's Association's Good Day to Dine for January, 2010...

This still rings in my ears and mind as a year of the future.

"The last man to be killed was never heard from again. He won't be back this way 'till two thousand ten..."

From an early (nineteen) eighties song when a lot of groups were releasing space themed songs.

2010: Odyssey Two, the Leonov reaches the USSS Discovery to find that the starchildren are igniting Jupiter into Lucifer to provide the light for the life upon Europa to evolve.

2010, in the United States on Terra, the politicos in power have temporarily deleted the death tax.

This is going to be an interesting year.

We started it out by attending the Richardson Comic-Con and then went to the Good Day to Dine. It made for a long day. It made for a great day.

We met at Holy Frijoles just meters away from the convention center. The food was pretty good and for the second time a mexican food restaurant tolerated us without showing disdain for us. It appears that we need to stay with family owned mexican food restaurants when we pick one for GDtD and stay away from Mercado Juarez (chain) since they just don't seem to have a sense of humor.
We talked about the con, of course. Oddly enough, we managed to get on the subject of vintage automobiles. Later, we talked about all kinds of language and (human) ethnic barrier issues. With our multi-lingual and multi-ethnic (human) backgrounds at the table it made for an interesting discussion. Too bad that we cannot rule the world. I think that we solved much of its problems at this table.

We voted to return to Ton's Mongolian Grill just off of Cooper and Green Oaks for May at 1700 so that those going to school or work early could get rack time.

We discussed possibilities for a Walkabout but opted for Ton's. We now have good Walkabout plans for later.

Warriors, plan on descending upon Ton's in May.
