            Ft. Worth, TX

Currently infiltrating an Terran institution of lower learning (TCC) to increase my knowledge of Terran technology. Terrans tend to advance more quickly in this area because Terrans don't tend to kill their fellow researchers when there is a disagreement. Currently working towards an Associate of Applied Sciences degree (2-yr) in Electronics and Telecommunications Technology. I hope to be done by September 2008.

Family history 1:

Teq'toq was the founder of the house of Teq'toq, a brilliant engineer who invented the auto-clot (patent pending), a device used to quickly close wounds on the battlefield. The device made a rhythmic clicking noise as it worked(teq toq teq toq). He is the father of Pon'tioq, a vehicle manufacturer. Pon'tioq was the father of two sons: Fas'toq the vehicle salesman and Dubl'toq the politician. Dubl'toq was the inventor of phrases such as "enhanced interrogation techniques ", "pacification by disruptor" and "re- ruralization from orbit". Fas'toq was the father of Rotokq and Dubl'toq was the father of Kartoq, making Rotokq and Kartoq cousins by blood.

Personal History:

Many years ago, Kartoq was a lieutenant in the Klingon Defense Force, serving in the engineering department on a Bird-of-Prey called the chuHwI'. He led an engineering team on a groundside embarkation (away mission) to repair a damaged subspace transceiver on an outlying world, Nervala IV. The planet was notorious for its atmospheric distortion field which prevented the use of transporters and shuttles except for brief periods every eight years. After giving up the transceiver as a lost cause, Kartoq had the rest of the team beam up to the chuHwI'. He then gathered what parts he could salvage from the ruined tranceiver. During Kartoq's transport from the planet's surface, a second confinement beam was initiated to overcome the distortion field difficulties, with the intent of reintegrating the two beams in the transporter buffer prior to rematerialization on the ship. However, the modulation of the distortion field caused only one transporter signal to correctly materialize on the chuHwI' ? the second signal bounced off of the field and rematerialized on the planet's surface, unbeknownst to the rest of the crew. As a result, one Kartoq materialized aboard the chuHwI' while another was left on the planet's surface, his existence going unnoticed by the crew of the Bird-of-Prey.

This other Kartoq was unable to contact the ship as the distortions caused his communicator to short circuit. He was able to cobble together a short range radio transmitter from the duplicate salvaged parts and contact the ship. The Kartoq on the ship was eventually able to cut through the interference and beam his counterpart back onboard.

The 'duplicate' Kartoq decided to change his name to Kortoq, in deference to Kortar, who in Klingon mythology, was the first Klingon created by the gods and who destroyed them. He was of the opinion that if one Kartoq was still in the Klingon Defense Force, playing it safe, the other could afford to take some risks in his life. Kortoq decided to join the qhonDoq qIj (black blade), a highly secret division of Klingon Intelligence. His wherabouts are currently unknown.

The 'original' Kartoq remained on the chuHwI' for a few years before transfering to the IKV Melota, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander. He is now Chief of Engineering.
