Cartographer Fuzznutz | L'Indochine L'Indochine, you probably know it as Viet Nam. This map was designed to prevent the tank rush and the idiotic linear base. The constraints were originally supposed to be to due a heavily forested map until it was remembered the trees slow the game down. You just have to imagine that instead of the forests that these are alluvial flats with rice patties. Debris and ridgelines were used to bottleneck choke points to limit tank columns to single file and make it too expensive to attempt linear bases. Building additional MCV's is practically required in order to have a forward firebase and to cut ore supply lines. All bridges are blowable then leaving the question of "Do I?", or risking getting cut off for a total naval assault. This map will support 2 or 3 players. Any more and somebody will die quickly to starvation and lousy terrain. Also, you don't have to find the other guy's base, just follow the Ho Chi Min trail and it will take you to all three base locations. For fair and realistic play keep in mind that there were no nukes or capital ships upriver. So... Treaty Requirements: Salt, Neutral Trucks, Washington is superceded by having ONLY LSTs and PGs, no SSNs allowed either.
