Good Day to Dine, August 2003
800*600

Report on the LSWA's Good Day to Dine. August 30th.
Jumbo Super Buffet in Arlington.

We had a decent turnout and a lot of fun. 11 adults and 6 children. All but three adults were in Uniform, and two of those were mundane guests. It was great to see Glen again, and Bob (who has been busy as heck) made it after a bit of a hiatus. Good to see both of you still alive and kicking.

WOW! This place has a larger buffet than Evergreens. And we had a dynamite time there for Grup's Night Out. The selection of food was amazing. Kbubbles was entertaining (and grossing out) the children eating the octopi. And a few of us others had to give them rubbery little guys a try.

The talk was good. We got to hear about K'vlar's first week living in the college dorm and made a few jokes about our own college years (so many years ago). None of the talk was club related that I know of, which was good. We got to get together as (mostly) klin and talk about stuff other than being klin. Paintball, school, computers, food, kids, etc.

We purposesly sat at the front window. It was funny watching people stare at us as they drove by, or got ready to walk in the front door. The mundanes knew that somebody different was in the neighborhood that night.

There was lightning miles away, and a light rain off and on in our area. It was pleasant to look at and did not effect the after dinner activity.

After the dinner we went and raided Half Priced Books and got some good books to add to our respective libraries.

It was a nice night out on the town.
