AER: Good Day to Dine, Okt 31st, 2010

Members of the KAG vessel IKV Melota, along with naHQun and mundanes attended the latest event of the Lone Star Warrior's Association's Good Day to Dine. This was at the Catfish Plantation in Waxahachie. This was originally a private dwelling built in the 1800s. A famous baseball player was born in that house in 1904. It is reputed to be haunted and has been (and will be again) on national television as a house with unexplained phenomena. "Why is something that we cannot explain an 'it'?" (Bones)

The food was very good and the service was quite "family". We chose to eat outside on the veranda. The weather was perfect for it. The owner's family landed at a table next to ours and the poor gentleman wound up serving us, too. We explained that he did not need to do so, however, he was very service oriented and the place was packed/busy/full/wow.

A horse carriage was offering rides up Main St. This town is known for "Gingerbread Houses" and the clop clop up Main St really revealed why. It was also fun watching all of the children doing the Halloween thing at these beautiful houses.

We voted to go to Willhoites (sp?) in Grapevine on January 30th at 1700 for the next Good Day to Dine.

Strength and Honor,
Salek
