AER: Good Day to Dine, September 2007

We met at J&B's Steakhouse and Brewery. The LSWA had a great turnout giving the waits an interesting experience.

Given the menu, it was actually limiting to find a food that would show the klingon nature. Most of the items available were finger foods. You could order a salad, a potato (stuffed), or a steak to show the klingon lack of utensils. Otherwise, everything else was finger foods. This was the down side. However, the food was very good so the downside is only a klingon thing.

The micro brewery itself is elsewhere, however, the company does brew its own beers. I must admit defeat in that their Porter tastes better than mine. Their other brews are very much worth trying.

We had a lot of fun playing with the food and the equipment brought to the table. Ordering a bar glass of plain water makes the waits wonder "WtF?" Finger bowl! You wash your hands/fingers in the finger bowl with the un-iced water. The maitre'd equivalent was looking at this process cross-eyed.

We had a great time. The next GDtD at Studio Movie Tavern at I20 in the Highlands. The actual time and date will need to be determined by the movies available at that time.
