Good Day to Dine, Aug 2004

We had a wonderful Good Day to Dine today. This one was unusual in that it was a luncheon instead of a proper evening dinner. The restaurant only serves lunch and thus it was a lunch GDtD.

We met at Cardonas's. This place is special in that it is a tortilla factory and the restaurant is a side item. It is more special in that these wonderful people donate tortillas in bulk for our local Batleth Tournaments.
This was the first hispanic restaurant that did not make us feel like we were about to be asked to leave. In fact, they were absolutely marvelous. Our waitress did an excellent job and the rest of the staff were courteous and very friendly.
Since the owner and his (ST fan) son were not available, another relative was willing to put up with us and accept the plaque in their stead.
The food was excellent as was the service. I had to purchase some pastries to take home to the parmachi and children. They were an excellent venue.

RATS! We again forgot to vote upon a future venue. Gizmo, Qlu, Kbubbles and myself were the Class A uniformed members. The rest of the Warriors present need to email me (salek@janissaries.net) with potential venues for the next event so that we can manage to select the next location.
