Welcome Warriors (and mundanes) to the IKV Melota website. We are a proud group of Warriors that bids you join us if you live in the area, visit or at least establish communications if you don't.
This is a very active ship. We hold Batleth Practice weekly and host one Batleth Tournament per year. We have about 2 campouts minimum per year as well as make what Cons we can. We believe in and practice the IKV Melota's concept of Force Projection. This is taking our version of klindom to far away places. We drive to Arkansas each year to participate in the IKV Deliverance's Deliverance Wars as well as driving to Louisiana for the IKV Bayou Serpent's Venom Wars. We are also active with the Lone Star Warriors Association and proudly fly their banner for the Glory of the Empire. When there was a Hawkwood, we assisted in running the children's games and Camp Khitomer after hours.
Our philosophy as a club is "have fun". Our philosophy as science fiction fans being Klingon is to uphold Strength and Honor in the real world, and set examples for others to follow.

I wrote the commentary about having an updated and working website. And, yes, you will find some dead links here. The pages themselves are going to be up to date. The links that fail will be less important.
I'll post a crewman's page without his house symbol or even pictures of him in order to get a page out there for him. I figure that I'll get the pictures later. Some of the "in action" movies don't work. We are re-filming them.
The IKV Melota is a non-profit organization supporting Mr. Roddenberry's vision of the future. We find it very distressing that Viacom and Paramount do not share his visions. We recognize all trademarks and copyrights as belonging to their owners and hope that the owners have sense enough to realize that we fans pay the bills. There is no need outside of testosterone and rectal attitudes to pursue fan sites.
Given that this is not a commercial venture, as webmaster, I partake of the KISS principle and shall have a very simple site. Simplicity is beauty, like the curve of the Ba'Leth.
